Is It Art?

Arts are anything that could express person’s emotion or opinion. Therefore, Anything could be art although what one person thinks is art may not be considered art for another person. There are some types of arts that are widely accepted by other people. However, each individual is different, there could be a very small group of people which come up with something that they think are art, but it wouldn’t be widely accepted.

One of the unique artists whose art is not universally accepted is Guillermo Vargras. This person showed a starving dying dog in the gallery . Yes, not many people would think of this as something cruel, and not artistic. Well, as I mentioned earlier, art could be anything that express a person’s emotion or opinion. In the other word, Art must mean something to someone. The starving dog has the meaning in it, and I’m pretty sure that many people found that meaning when they look at that dog. I admitted that I actually found the meaning behind it; I feel like the starving dog being looked at by people is really sad. Yes, what Guillermo did to this dog is wrong and very unethical. I agreed with most people that this dog should not be treated this way, but art does not have to be ethical. Although it is cruel, it is still art ( that should never be shown or created ever).
